Super Bowl XLVI Prediction

Super Bowl XLVI
New York Giants (12-7) v.s. New England Patriots (15-3) (NE -3, O/U 54)
It all comes down to this, Super Bowl Sunday. You couldn't have asked for a better matchup (well, maybe you could've, I mean, Green Bay/New England or New Orleans/New England would have been unbelievable as well) but anyways, these teams know each other very well even though they meet every couple of years or so. A few of the major keys in today's game is how the Patriots contain Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks, how the Patriots protect Tom Brady from the Giants fearsome pass rush and how well the Patriots can get after Eli Manning. I believe that given the fact that this is a dome game, I think it will be more of an offensive affair then defensive. However, that doesn't mean the defense won't have a big impact. Both defenses have made major strides over the past month and a half, but here is one thing to keep in mind. The Giants had trouble the last time they played in an indoor game against Dallas. Also, given the way New England has performed offensively of late (besides the Baltimore game), they should perform even better indoors. As long as the Patriots protect Brady and he is able to get the ball out quickly, the Patriots will have success scoring. Then, the key will be to pressure Eli Manning the way the 49ers did last week. I know the 49ers did not win, but they held the Giants to 17 points in regulation. I see Bill Belichick devising a scheme to pressure and pound Manning, which will contain Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks enough to allow the Patriots to muster enough points to beat the Giants and claim their fourth Super Bowl title in the Brady/Belichick era.
New England 30-27
Spread: New York
O/U: Over
Super Bowl MVP:
Tom Brady
I was thinking about predicting that Chad Ochocinco this award because I think maybe today will be the day he earns his six million dollars, but the Super Bowl MVP has a tendency to give the quarterback the Super Bowl MVP whether or not he is deserving, although I believe Brady will be deserving in this case.
