Tim Thomas is the Stanley Cup Final MVP- Win or Lose
Tim Thomas has been so outstanding for the Bruins in these Finals that I believe that even if the Bruins loose, he should be the Stanley Cup Finals MVP. Here is why. Thomas has made outstanding saves throughout, and even though Roberto Luongo has played a little bit better or even gotten a little bit luckier than Thomas in 3 of the games, Thomas has been more outstanding and has been called upon to make more big saves. Luongo has to stop a weaker Boston attack while Thomas is nearly stopping the best attack in the NHL.
Here is another reason why Thomas should be the MVP. No one on the Canucks really deserves the Finals MVP, at least as of now. You can't give it to Luongo because he had two of the worst performances by a goalie in Stanley Cup history. He gave up 8 fucking goals, there is no way he is your Stanley Cup Finals MVP. The Sedin twins have been quiet this series and so has Ryan Kesler so that rules them out. Well it looks like you're going to have to give it to Alexandre Burrows, who bit Patrice Bergeron earlier this series and should have been suspended. So should the goalie who gave up 8 goals in one game or the guy who bit an opposing player get the Finals MVP? I say Thomas. Win or loose.
