NFL Conference Championship Predictions

!Upsets
**Game of the Week

Aaron Hernandez
Baltimore Ravens (13-4) v.s. New England Patriots (14-3) (NE -9, O/U 50)
When these two teams last met back in 2010, the Ravens played right with New England, but the Patriots eventually won in overtime. In this matchup, I think the Patriots are more dynamic now than they were last year and their defense is improved. The Ravens are still stout on defense, but offensively, I don't think they have enough fire power to score with the Patriots. It will be up to the Ravens defense to really shut down the Patriots, but the Patriots are clicking right now and I don't see the Ravens doing quite enough to slow them down.
New England 27-19
Spread: Baltimore
O/U: Under

Vernon Davis
**New York Giants (11-7) v.s. San Francisco 49ers (14-3) (SF -3, O/U 42)
I can't wait for this game. The 49ers beat the Giants earlier this year in a hard fought game, but it came down to the last play when Justin Smith knocked down an Eli Manning redzone pass. The reason why the Giants are here is because of their defensive line getting pressure on the quarterbacks. Aaron Rodgers was disrupted big time last week, so will Alex Smith suffer the same fate? I don't think so. The 49ers are more balanced than the Packers and they will use play action passing to Vernon Davis a lot on Sunday. On defense, the 49ers will need to continue to force turnovers and I think if they hit and hard and confuse Eli Manning like they confused Drew Brees even for a couple of plays, that could be the difference for the 49ers. San Francisco moves on to Indianapolis.
San Francisco 27-24
Spread: New York
O/U: Over
