NFL Divisional Round Predictions

New Orleans Saints (14-3) v.s. San Francisco 49ers (13-3) (NO -3, O/U 51)
The Saints are unstoppable at home, we know that. But are they quite the same outdoors? No, they are not. That doesn't mean they can't put up 42 points, but it is less likely. San Francisco's defense is the best in the NFL in my opinion. The success the Saints had running the ball last week won't continue this week. Offensively, I believe San Francisco will protect the ball and play more of a field position game. One or two plays is going to decide this game and I believe those plays will go to the 49ers, who win at home to head to the NFC Championship.
San Francisco 21-17!
Spread: San Francisco
O/U: Under

Denver Broncos (9-8) v.s. New England Patriots (13-3) (NE -14, O/U 50.5)
The Patriots handled the Broncos back at Mile High a month ago. In this matchup, I think one of the keys is that Belichick should make adjustments from their last meeting given the fact that he has had a week plus to prepare. I see Tim Tebow and the Broncos having some success offensively, but they won't be able to consistently match the points with Tom Brady and the Patriots offense. The Pats take care of business.
New England 34-22
Spread: Denver
O/U: Over

Houston Texans (11-6) v.s. Baltimore Ravens (12-4) (BAL -9, O/U 37)
This game is going to be much closer than the experts indicate. Houston has the defense and the running game to hang around in this game. This game will come down to Joe Flacco and whether he can put the Texans away with one or two big scoring plays. But I don't see that happening. The Texans will run the ball, create a turnover or two and play with the Ravens for the full 60 minutes. Unfortunately for the Texans, I see the Ravens prevailing in overtime.
Baltimore 23-20 OT
Spread: Houston
O/U: Over

**New York Giants (10-7) v.s. Green Bay Packers (15-1) (GB -9, O/U 53.5)
In a rematch of a classic Week 13 game, the Giants travel to Lambeau hoping to knock off the Packers. I expect this game to be close just like the last one. The Giants have the weapons offensively and unless the Packers force at least two turnovers, I think the Giants will score right with the Packers. For Green Bay, they must contain the pass rush and keep Rogers protected. Easier said than done though. The difference in this game will be upfront and how the Giants get after Rodgers and how the Giants protect Eli Manning, allowing him to find playmakers like Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks. The Packers do not extract revenge from the NFC Championship game four years ago and the Giants head back to the NFC Championship Game.
New York 29-27!

O/U: Over
