NFL Week 4 Predictions

!Upset
*Big Game
**Game of the Week

Carolina Panthers (1-2) v.s. Chicago Bears (1-2) (CHI -7)
Both teams are 1-2 and both teams could obviously use a win this week. Chicago needs this game more than Carolina if they want to hang around in the NFC North. The Bears could be behind by three games if they lose this week. Not only that, a home loss would only put more pressure on the Bears. The Bears defense will contain Cam Newton and they will pull out the W.
Chicago 24-20
Spread: Carolina

Buffalo Bills (3-0) v.s. Cincinnati Bengals (1-2) (BUF -3)
Are the Buffalo Bills for real? We're really going to find out this week. It is very easy for the Bills to have a let down game on the road against a decent Cincinnati team after coming off such a huge win against New England. The Bills put up a ton of points on Cincinnati last year, but this Bengals defense has improved. The Buffalo defense also hasn't showed that they can really shut down offenses. The Bills do deserve to be 3-0, but they also could very easily be 1-2. The Bills have a let down week at Cincinnati has Andy Dalton has a nice day throwing the ball to A.J. Green.
Cincinnati 27-23!
Spread: Cincinnati

Tennessee Titans (2-1) v.s. Cleveland Browns (2-1) (TEN -1)
Now that the Titans no longer have Kenny Britt, Chris Johnson will really need to step up. I just don't see the same boost from Chris Johnson, I don't know what has happened to him. I like the way the Browns are playing. The Browns beat the Titans in a hard fought football game.
Cleveland 24-13
Spread: Cleveland

*Detroit Lions (3-0) v.s. Dallas Cowboys (2-1) (DAL -1)
What an interesting matchup. You have two offenses that can put up 35 points any given sunday and two defenses that can get after the quarterback. Whatever team minimizes turnovers will control this game. I think Matt Stafford has a difficult time connecting with Calvin Johnson and the Detroit running game never gets going. I expect the Cowboys to edge the Lions and end their hopes of an undefeated season.
Dallas 28-21
Spread: Dallas

Minnesota Vikings (0-3) v.s. Kansas City Chiefs (0-3) (MIN -3)
After two atrocious weeks, the Chiefs finally at least looked respectable against the Chargers. The Vikings on the other hand, have looked great in the first half of all three of their games, but miserable in the second half. I think today, the Chiefs are at home and it is time for them to get a win. They make big plays defensively as Donovan McNabb gets knocked around. The Chiefs contain Adrian Peterson and win on a late field goal.
Kansas City 16-13
Spread: Kansas City

Washington Redskins (2-1) v.s. St. Louis Rams (0-3) (WSH -3)
I don't think anyone anticipated an 0-3 start by the Rams who were supposed to be the favorites in the NFC West. I also don't think anyone expected the Redskins to be 2-1 at this point either. The Redskins have been playing good defense, better defense than the Rams. Tim Hightower should have a nice day running the ball and the Redskins should be able to put pressure on Sam Bradford, making him throw the ball more and make more plays. The Redskins pull out a nice road win in St. Louis.
Washington 21-20
Spread: St. Louis

*San Francisco 49ers (2-1) v.s. Philadelphia Eagles (1-2) (PHI -10)
I talked earlier about how the Bears could not afford to drop to 1-3 with a loss at home to what is on paper an inferior team. The same applies for the Eagles, who should be able to walk all over the 49ers. But they won't. San Francisco is showing progress on offense and their defense is keeping them in games. Michael Vick and Philadelphia will struggle, but they will pull out a tough victory that they need to have.
Philadelphia 19-17
Spread: San Francisco

New Orleans Saints (2-1) v.s. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2) (NO -8)
If the Saints can't slow down Blaine Gabbert and the Jacksonville offense, then they might have some serious problems. Fortunately for the Saints, I think they will play good defense today and their offense will take care of business.
New Orleans 31-10
Spread: New Orleans

*Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) v.s. Houston Texans (2-1) (HOU -4)
For a team like Pittsburgh to barely get a victory at a weak Indianapolis team is a little bit discouraging. The Texans meanwhile very easily could be 3-0. The Houston offense should be able to put up enough points to keep Big Ben at bay. Houston gets a big home win as they take a firm grasp on the AFC South.
Houston 27-17
Spread: Houston

*New York Giants (2-1) v.s. Arizona Cardinals (1-2) (NYG -2)
I was very surprised that Arizona fell to the Seahawks last week. The Giants however, had a big win last week at Philadelphia. So it would be typical of the New York Giants for them to lose after everyone now thinks that they are a force to be reckoned with in the NFC. Arizona gets back on track as the Giants fall to 2-2.
Arizona 24-19!
Spread: Arizona

Atlanta Falcons (1-2) v.s. Seattle Seahawks (1-2) (ATL -6)
Here we have another team that is supposed to be elite, yet they're 1-2 and they desperately need a win in week 4. Atlanta has it a little bit tougher than that of the Eagles and Bears only because they play on the road. Atlanta thumped Seattle last year but something about Seattle playing at home sparks trouble for the Falcons. Matt Ryan needs to start making some plays and the fact that Roddy White is questionable doesn't help the Falcon offense. The Falcons defense will make some big plays to help a struggling Atlanta offense as Seattle just doesn't put enough points on the board to hang around for four quarters.
Atlanta 20-7
Spread: Atlanta

*New England Patriots (2-1) v.s. Oakland Raiders (2-1) (NE -6)
This game will come down to whatever defense steps up and makes a play or two. Another key is whether the Patriots get back to playing no turnover football. I say that Brady's four interceptions last week were a fluke and he will not replicate that this week. Darren McFadden has a big day, but Jason Campbell makes a least a mistake or two that the Patriots capitalize off of. The Patriots notch a nice win in Oakland.
New England 35-24
Spread: New England

Denver Broncos (1-2) v.s. Green Bay Packers (3-0) (GB -13)
This might be the surest of all the games if there is such a thing in the NFL for the Packers. They're at home, Denver doesn't have a great defense and the Packers are firing on all cylinders. Packers move to 4-0 and become the last undefeated team left in the NFL.
Green Bay 35-17
Spread: Green Bay

Miami Dolphins (0-3) v.s. San Diego Chargers (2-1) (SD -7)
The Chargers may be 2-1 but they have not looked great by any means. The Dolphins are 0-3, but they haven't been playing terribly. We know the Dolphins play well on the road so I think that means they will hang around in this game. The Chargers continue to make too many mistakes too and given the fact that Miami is desperate for a win, I think they snatch a win in San Diego.
Miami 26-24!
Spread: Miami

**New York Jets (2-1) v.s. Baltimore Ravens (2-1) (BAL -5)
Baltimore returned to top form against the Rams last week while the Jets showed they are very vulnerable in certain areas, in particular the defense. It will be paramount that the Jet offense protects the ball and dictates the pace of the game. The Ravens need to run the ball and Joe Flacco will need to make a big play or two. I think the Jets continue to struggle on defense while the Ravens continue to prove they are Super Bowl contenders.
Baltimore 17-12
Spread: New York

Indianapolis Colts (0-3) v.s. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1) (TB -11)
The Buccaneers are coming off back to back big wins which has Tampa heading in the right direction. I could see Indianapolis hanging around, but I can't see them taking down a Tampa team with so much momentum.
Tampa Bay 24-14
Spread: Indianapolis
