NFL Week 14 Predictions

!Upset
*Big Game
**Game of the Week

Cleveland Browns (4-8) v.s. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3) (PIT -14, O/U 39)
I don't see Colt McCoy and the Browns scoring enough points to beat the Steelers on a Thursday Night game. Cleveland will hang around for a little bit, but too much balance from the Steeler offense. Pittsburgh moves to 10-3.
A.J. Green
Pittsburgh 24-6
Spread: Pittsburgh
O/U: Under

*Houston Texans (9-3) v.s. Cincinnati Bengals (7-5) (CIN -3, O/U 38)
The Texans will rely heavily on Arian Foster and Ben Tate today if they want to win because they will not have Andre Johnson in the passing game. The Bengals are sixth in the NFL at stopping the run, which means I don't see the Texans scoring enough to beat Andy Dalton, A.J. Green and the Bengals. Cincinnati moves to 8-5.
Cincinnati 20-10
Spread: Cincinnati
O/U: Under

Minnesota Vikings (2-10) v.s. Detroit Lions (7-5) (DET -10, O/U 46.5)
Chris Johnson
The Lions are in desperate need for a bounce back victory. We'll see if Adrain Peterson and Christian Ponder play for the Vikings, but I know that Matthew Stafford and the Lions are going to be looking to get back on track offensively. I don't see the Vikings preventing the Lions from moving to 8-5.
Detroit 27-13
Spread: Detroit
O/U: Under

*New Orleans Saints (9-3) v.s. Tennessee Titans (7-5) (NO -4, O/U 50)
The Saints have not played outdoors since October and Drew Brees hasn't quite been the same quarterback outdoors as he has indoors. The Saints will have a tougher test than one might imagine with the improving Tennessee defense. If Chris Johnson can run the ball effectively today, I think the Titans will move to 8-5, holding off a valiant effort by Drew Brees and the Saints.
Tennessee 28-24!
Spread: Tennessee
O/U: Over

Philadelphia Eagles (4-8) v.s. Miami Dolphins (4-8) (MIA -3, O/U 45.5)
Reggie Bush
Both of these teams don't have playoff aspirations, but it is apparent that the Dolphins are the ones who are playing with more pride. The Eagles seem to be lacking motivation and against a Dolphins team playing so well offensively and defensively, I don't see the Eagles beating Miami today. Miami moves to 5-8.
Miami 26-21
Spread: Miami
O/U: Over

Kansas City Chiefs (5-7) v.s. New York Jets (7-5) (NYJ -10.5, O/U 36.5)
The Jets are making their push for the playoffs. It shouldn't be too hard for the Jets defense today going up against Tyler Palko, but I do think that the Jets offense will struggle a little bit against an underrated Chiefs defense. The Jets will take care of business in workmanlike fashion.
New York 20-0
Spread: New York
O/U: Under

New England Patriots (9-3) v.s. Washington Redskins (4-8) (NE -9, O/U 47.5)
The Patriots are figuring out what they were lacking defensively back in September and October. This game could be a trap game for the Patriots, but I don't see the lowly Redskins offense scoring enough points to hang with a Patriots offense that is firing on all cylinders.
New England 34-21
Charles Johnson
Spread: New England
O/U: Over

*Atlanta Falcons (7-5) v.s. Carolina Panthers (4-8) (ATL -3, O/U 48)
The Falcons haven't pieced any sort of running together all season and I don't think it will start today. The Falcons haven't been playing well offensively and today, going up against a Panthers offense that can and will score, I see the Falcons getting behind early and playing from behind. Matt Ryan will have a nice day throwing the ball, but he makes one too many mistakes that leads Carolina to move to 5-8.
Carolina 32-28!
Spread: Carolina
O/U: Over

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-8) v.s. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-9) (TB -3, O/U 41)
Ronde Barber
Tampa Bay should have Josh Freeman coming back today against the Jaguars. We have rarely seen the Tampa Bay that went 10-6 last year but I think they will show up today. If Tampa contains Maurice Jones-Drew, this game will be over early because I think Tampa is desperate to show that they are better than their record indicates. Tampa Bay, big.
Tampa Bay 38-14
Spread: Tampa Bay
O/U: Over

Indianapolis Colts (0-12) v.s. Baltimore Ravens (9-3) (BAL -17, O/U 41.5)
Dan Orlovsky is not that bad ladies and gentleman, which is why I'm picking the Colts to shock the Ravens. No, I'm just kidding. I don't see the Colts slowing down Ray Rice as the Ravens move to 10-3.
Baltimore 31-14
Spread: Indianapolis
O/U: Over

*Chicago Bears (7-5) v.s. Denver Broncos (7-5) (DEN -4, O/U 37.5)
Champ Bailey Champ Bailey #24 of the Denver Broncos prepares for the game against the San Diego Chargers at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on October 9, 2011 in Denver, Colorado.
Champ Bailey
The Broncos are getting Von Miller back on defense and they won't have to deal with Jay Cutler or Matt Forte for the Bears. It's up to either Caleb Hanie to step up or for the Bears to come out and play their best defensive game all year. I see the Bears defense coming out and playing a hell of a game, but I don't see Caleb Hanie doing the same. Broncos move to 8-5.
Denver 14-10
Spread: Chicago
O/U: Under

San Francisco 49ers (10-2) v.s. Arizona Cardinals (5-7) (SF -5, O/U 39)
No Patrick Willis and no Carlos Rodgers potentially for the 49ers. Do I smell upset? I do. The 49ers have clinched and they will be without two of their best defensive players against a Cardinals team that is starting to click. This game isn't very meaningful for either team, but you never know, the Cardinals still have at least some shot at a wild card berth.
Arizona 23-20!
Spread: Arizona
O/U: Over

*Oakland Raiders (7-5) v.s. Green Bay Packers (12-0) (GB -12, O/U 52)
Jordy Nelson
In a rematch of Super Bowl II, I see the Raiders playing with the Raiders right until the end. People forget that in the Patriots 2007 undefeated campaign, they struggled towards the end against teams they were supposed to beat. I see this happening today, but I think the Packers will ultimately be 13-0 by the time the day is over.
Green Bay 28-23
Spread: Oakland
O/U: Under

Buffalo Bills (5-7) v.s. San Diego Chargers (5-7) (SD -7, O/U 48)
These two teams have faded more than anyone this year. Given the way the Bills have played lately, I don't see them traveling across the country and beating San Diego, but hey, you never know with San Diego. Anyways, I'm picking the Chargers because it would be typical San Diego to run the table and somehow find a way to win the AFC West.
San Diego 35-30
Spread: Buffalo
O/U: Over

**New York Giants (6-6) v.s. Dallas Cowboys (7-5) (DAL -3, O/U 50.5)
Laurent Robinson
What a game we have sunday night. These two teams could be tied with a Giants win, or the Cowboys could have a two game lead plus the head to head advantage with only three games to play if they win tonight. The Giants have been playing well of late, they just have been the victim of an unbelievably hard schedule. In tonight's matchup, it will be key who gets out to the early lead. If the Cowboys get out to the early lead, I don't see Eli Manning lighting up the Cowboys to bring the Giants back because the Cowboys will bring too much pressure. If the Giants were to get out early, the pressure would mount on Rob Ryan's Cowboy defense and Tony Romo and the Cowboy offense. I would like to think the Cowboys would be able to get the win tonight at home, which is why I'm going to take them in a close game.
Dallas 31-28
Spread: New York
O/U: Over

St. Louis Rams (2-10) v.s. Seattle Seahawks (5-7) (SEA -10, O/U 37.5)
Tavaris Jackson and Marshawn Lynch
The Seahawks are quietly making a playing push. With a favorable schedule the rest of the way, don't be surprised if the Seahawks are in the thick of things in week 17. The Rams will have plenty of problems scoring on Monday Night. In a defensive battle, I'm taking the Seahawks to pull away in the fourth quarter.
Seattle 20-12
Spread: St. Louis
O/U: Under
