The NFL's Quarterbacks who are Most Important to their Teams- Present

Most Important Quarterbacks to Their Teams
Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Tom Brady, NE
What makes Brady the most important quarterback to his team is the fact that the Patriots are a machine offensively that relies on Brady's accuracy and precision to score. Without Brady, the Patriots wouldn't move the ball effectively for four quarters. Not to mention that their defense is below average, which means if Brady is a little bit off of his game, the Patriots are in grave danger of losing, making Brady the most important quarterback in the league.

Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Like Brady, Brees must always have a good game if the Saints want to win. The Saints defense is not what it was in 2009 when they won the Super Bowl, which means Brees and the Saints must score in the high 20's.

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Rodgers makes the Pack go and then some and he is playing at an extremely high level, but he has slightly more help around him on the defensive side of the ball which makes Rodgers the third most important quarterback to his team.

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers
Imagine if the Panthers had at least a pretty good defense. Instead of 3-8, they could be 6-5 in playoff contention. Newton has been stellar in his first season.

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers
Roethlisberger has been called upon by the Steelers to make many a big play over the past few years in big time games and most of the time, Big Ben has gotten it done. Having the Steelers defense certainly helps, but Roethlisberger carries the load for the Steelers offensively.

Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears
Jay Cutler, CHI
When Cutler is giving protection, the Bears can score 30+ points even with their best option at receiver being their running back, Matt Forte. If you give Cutler some exceptional wide outs, he puts up 4,000 yards easily like he did in Denver. Sufficed it to say, Cutler can be very prolific.
Eli Manning, New York Giants
Eli Manning is having a great year for the Giants and this is despite them having their fair share of injury problems on both sides of the ball. Eli Manning has stepped up and showed he can be counted on by the Giants. It would help though if the Giants made the playoffs this year.

Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
It's too bad Schaub went down for the Texans as they start to close in on their first playoff berth. It seems like with Schaub that no matter what the circumstance is, he will put up monster stats, get the Texans a W or both, which is what he had been doing this year.

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons
Ryan has his fair share of help around him, but he doesn't benefit from a truly outstanding defense like a Joe Flacco does. Ryan, even in his first year as a rookie, has been a catalyst and a leader offensively.

10 Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
I would like to put Romo higher but here's why he is at 10. One, there is plenty of talent for Dallas all over the field and two, Romo wasn't doing well anyways last year even before he got injured.
