The NFL's Best Quarterbacks Under 25- Present

Best Quarterbacks 25 Years Old and Under
Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions
Matthew Stafford, DET
Thought I said earlier that Stafford was a tad overrated, he is still the best quarterback under 25. He is capable of lighting up any defense in the league. The key for Stafford will be to stay healthy and limit his turnovers over time.

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers
Newton, if you compare him to Vince Young or Donovan McNabb in their rookie seasons, is performing at an even higher level than those two. Newton is showing that he can be one of the leagues very best. He will need to limit his mistakes just like pretty much all rookie quarterbacks.

Mark Sanchez, New York Jets
Sanchez may be overrated, but, he has performed on big stages not once but twice. He has consistently been a clutch performer in the playoffs and in the end, that is basically all everything comes down too.

Sam Bradford, St. Louis Rams
Bradford has taken a step back this year, but keep in mind that he took a 1-15 Rams team and turned them into a 7-9, border line playoff team. Forget about this year, Bradford will bounce back and still be very good in the future.

Josh Freeman, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Freeman is only 23 years old and even though he is having a down year this year, his performance last year still earns him a spot at number five on this list.

Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals
Dalton is having a Matt Ryan kind of rookie year and he is showing that he is consistent enough to be a very good quarterback in the future.

Christian Ponder, Minnesota Vikings
Christian Ponder
I know the Vikings are terrible this year, but he has showed signs that he may even be the best quarterback in this draft class. I didn't think it was a good selection then, but I think Ponder was a great move at number 12 for the Vikings.

Jake Locker, Tennessee Titans
Locker came in the other week for an injured Matt Hasselbeck and he did very well. I like Locker a lot, I think he has a little Brett Favre in him. There is no doubt in my mind that Locker won't be the Titans signal caller for the future and not do well.

Ryan Mallet, New England Patriots
Mallet is as talented as any of the other quarterbacks in his rookie class, but he may not play for another few years with Brady still at quarterback. That being said, he has a big arm and he could turn out to be one of the most prolific quarterbacks in the NFL.

10 Blaine Gabbert, Jacksonville Jaguars
I was not, am not, still not and never will be a Blaine Gabbert guy because I just don't think he has "it." Gabbert obviously has some potential, which earns him a place at number 10 on this list.
